Looking for a comedy actor for your commercial or advertising campaign? Thea Meulenberg Casting is an experienced commercial casting agency in Amsterdam, helping brands, advertising agencies and production companies find actors with the humour, personality and on camera presence to make a campaign memorable.
We cast comedy actors and commercial talent based in the Netherlands for productions in the Netherlands and abroad, from TV commercials and online advertising to branded content and social media campaigns.
Finding the right comedy actor
Good commercial comedy is about much more than simply being funny. The right actor understands comic timing, facial expressions, body language and natural reactions, while making the humour feel effortless and authentic.
For every comedy casting, we look for qualities such as:
- Strong comic timing
- Expressive facial expressions
- Natural reactions
- Improvisation skills
- Charisma and personality
- Strong on camera presence
- The ability to play everyday situations convincingly
- A natural feel for different types of humour
Often, it is the smallest reaction, look or gesture that makes a commercial work. We look for actors who can find those subtle moments while still delivering the script and fitting the tone of the campaign.
Funny actors and distinctive talent
Some comedy roles call for a trained comedy actor. Others need a funny, characteristic or unexpected personality who can bring something unique to the campaign.
Our talent pool includes professional actors, commercial actors and distinctive personalities with different looks, ages and backgrounds. We can search for talent who are naturally funny, highly expressive, physically comedic or particularly strong at improvisation.
Whether you need a subtle comedic performance or a larger, more distinctive character, we can create a shortlist based on your brief.
